Winners of NETPAC Award

General Statement of NETPAC Award

Most of the films focused on strong themes such as social or political issues, women's or family matters, and prejudice. Yet, we the jury felt that these themes, while highly relevant, could have sometimes benefitted from more cinematographic treatments. Still, we hope that this NETPAC Award will encourage the winner in his upcoming filmmaking endeavors.

To Heaven, To Gather / Chang Liyue

We found that the subject of this delicate film was treated in a very intuitive, original and humanist way by the director, who shows the mark of a true auteur, and we will be looking forward to watching his next films.
