We had a wonderful time reviewing these works, which showed great warmth and empathy for their subjects. We would like to express our words of gratitude and encouragement to all the filmmakers for their sincere efforts to touch upon a wide variety of topics, from social issues to family matters. We look forward to seeing you grow into true and talented filmmakers, and are rooting for you.

We have forgotten that democracy, which we now enjoy naturally like air, used to be the rallying cry of young people who risked their lives facing a mighty power… I envy these disciples who were able to meet Young Ko Ho-Seok as a teacher. We look forward to your next move.

Filming a close family member is both an easy and hard endeavour at the same time. As a daughter and a director, Jeon Soyeong told a simple but sincere story while keeping the essence of what a documentary is.
